KPD Low-Voltage Rail Powered Transfer Cart
The KPD low-voltage rail powered transfer cart takes its power from the rails. A step-down system on the ground converts three-phase or two-phase AC 380 V into a safe 36 V, which is fed to the conductive rails that also serve as the running track. The low voltage reaches the on-board transformer through the conductors of the cart, where it is boosted back to 380 V or rectified to 48 V DC to drive the three-phase or DC motor.
The KPD transfer cart supports 24-hour continuous operation. Its cable-free design is safer and makes remote control and automated operation easier. It resists high temperatures and impact, adapts to cross-transport layouts and can travel along curved and loop tracks. By adding step-down transformers along the route, the travel distance is not restricted.
