Straddle Carriers
Mobile Energy Storage Straddle Carrier
Mobile energy storage straddle carrier with an operator's cab and rigid lifting frame for picking up, moving and placing containerized energy storage units.
Overview
Mobile Energy Storage Straddle Carrier
The mobile energy storage straddle carrier handles mobile and containerized energy storage units. A rigid lifting frame hangs beneath the top beams and carries a row of lifting points along each side, which gives several attachment positions for the load. The driver works from a cab at one corner of the machine, drives over the unit, lifts it and carries it to its new position on four rubber tires.
This arrangement suits sites where storage units are moved often, between production, testing and dispatch areas. The frame opening, the lifting frame and the controls are designed around the units you handle. Let us know their size, weight and lifting points, together with the ground conditions on your route, and we will prepare a specification and quotation.
Key features
-
01
Rigid lifting frame The unit is attached to a steel frame beneath the top beams, with a row of lifting points on each side to match the unit's own lifting positions.
-
02
Cab with a view of the load A cab at the corner of the frame lets the operator look along the unit and the travel path while positioning.
-
03
Four-point support Holding the unit at four corners keeps it level and makes travel more stable than conventional ways of moving such loads.
-
04
Safety systems A warning beacon, anti-collision guards, brakes, overload protection and monitoring are part of the machine.
-
05
Remote and automated options Remote operation and automated driving are supported for sites that want fewer people near the moving load.
-
06
Custom engineering Each carrier is produced to the customer's requirement, and a range of sizes and configurations can be built.
Where it is used
- Energy storage manufacturers Transferring completed units between production buildings, test areas and the dispatch yard.
- Industrial parks Moving storage units between buildings and paved outdoor areas.
- Service and stock yards Re-positioning units that are held in stock or have come back for maintenance.
