Semi Gantry Crane

Semi-gantry cranes, also known as semi-portal cranes, are a modified variant of full gantry cranes. The crane travels on one ground-mounted rail, with its opposite end running on an elevated rail fixed to building columns or workshop structural beams. A semi gantry crane suits most working scenarios of a standard full gantry crane and adds practical advantages in special-purpose layouts.

One major advantage of the semi gantry crane is its ability to work underneath existing overhead cranes inside production bays. It offers dedicated localized lifting for workstations along one side of the bay, while the overhead crane takes charge of general-purpose material handling across the entire bay. It can also work beneath the cantilever section of a full gantry crane.
